Wow what an incredible few weeks I have been having. I have won two contests in two weeks. It is so amazing. When I was younger I was really into art. My projects went to state competitions and all over the place. But when we moved to Texas, the club that I had been in did not meet anywhere near here and so I kind of dropped it. To be back, wining events is a dream come true, even if is a different type. Anyway I am so excited.
The contest I won today was called Flash Fiction Smackdown. Each story cannot be any more than 99 words long- which is extremely EXTREMELY short for someone as descriptive as me. There were 14 other contestants and I was sure one of them were going to win. Theirs were all touching memoirs or shocking revelations. Mine was about a ladys cat. I felt so silly reading mine. But it made everyone laugh and they all cheered me one. The support was amazing. I love this club so much!!! Anyway the little story will be published on the clubs website so I feel no qualms about putting it up here.
Hey ya'll i just one another contest!! The prize was $50. It was really cool. The judge said there was some 60 stories submitted and i got first! Yehhh!
Wow. Being published. Its every amateur writers dream. Can mine come true? Today I went to a writers club. One outside of the school. A writers club of published poets and writers. And they asked me to read. Though I was trembling enough to chatter my teeth somehow I managed through my short story. Everyone there, not a one under 35, applauded me. And told me I should try to publish it. ME. In a magazine. Wow. So Lets get publishing
